During the weekend you will:
- Have fun.
- Learn basic hand drumming techniques and specific African rhythms, then jam around the campfireat night. No experience necessary!
- Open your body and soul with Rhythmic Yoga Classes, led by Allison, professional-level yoga teacher at the Kripalu Center.
- Enjoy free time to immerse in nature, relaxing at the beautiful Pinewood Lodge Campgrounds, located on a 50 acre freshwater lake, with modern facilities. Canoe and kayak rentals included in registration fee!
Program Prices:
Each package includes camping for two nights, three drum sessions, two rhythmic yoga classes, canoe, kayak and canoe rentals at the beautiful Pinewood Lodge. For meals, you can take the rustic route and cook over the campfire at your site, purchase breakfast from the campground’s dining room, or drive five minutes into the quaint and historic town of Plymouth to explore the restaurants there.

What to Bring
Drums – The ideal type of drum to bring is a djembe. They come in many sizes and any size will work well. If you don’t have access to a djembe, an ashiko, doumbek or conga will also be good. If you do not have any drum to bring for the weekend, please make sure you let us know, as we have a limited number of drums to loan out for the weekend. If you have an extra drum you’d be willing to loan, please let us know. If you have any questions about this, feel free to contact us.
Other – Besides standard camping gear for tent camping (including a tent), please be sure to bring a yoga mat and yoga props (props are optional), kayak (if you have one), walking shoes, sleeping bag, pillow, towel, rain gear, chair for drum circles (lawn, folding or camping chair), and any food you’d like to bring.

Weather
The weekend will take place rain or shine. We will move the drum circles and yoga classes inside in case of rain.
Food
For food, you can choose to go rustic and cook over your campfire or venture five minutes into town to explore the restaurants of the quaint and historic town of Plymouth. Breakfast will be available to purchase in the campground's dining room.
Age Limit
The drumming and yoga sessions are geared toward adults, so the minimum age is 18 for full participation in the weekend activities. This age limit has some flexibility, so if you have a child that you’d like to bring, please talk to us individually. Children may accompany adults to camp, and parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of children at all times. Please contact us about arrangements and fees if you plan to bring children.
Cabins
Log cabins have one double bed and one bunk bed (top and bottom), sleeping 3-4 people. The Deluxe cabin has one double bed and one bunk bed (top and bottom), a futon and a loft that can accommodate a sleeping bag (sleeps up to 6, snugly). The Lakeside cottage has one double bed and a top bunk, sleeping up to 3 adults. There is a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, sink, shower and toilet in each unit. Remember to bring your linens!
